Ball Jar Valentines Table Decoration
Ball Jar Valentines Table Decoration – I don’t go overboard, but I usually try to decorate a little for Valentine’s Day, mostly focusing on the fireplace, front porch, and maybe the entryway. This year I had fun switching things up because a lot of my Valentine’s Day decorations are similar to my Christmas decorations, just repurposed for a different holiday. So it was a challenge to see what I could keep and continue to use after Christmas. I love red and pink for Christmas, it wasn’t hard!

The porch is very simple. Since it was too early for my usual porch fern, I removed my fake boxwood topiary along the front door and added some greenery.

I bought this felt heart shape at the Dollar Tree a few years ago and used hot glue to attach the pom poms. I put my flocked wreath on the front door before, but this time I used a faux boxwood wreath and just tied the hearts on and then added a simple bow on top. Take it easy!
How I Use Greenery Balls In My Decor
I tied a wreath with more dollar hearts and hung it over the entryway mirror. The Christmas candy on my living room table is now the Valentine candy on the entry table! π€£ I threw away the candies with ribbons, but the rest still looked perfect for π day. The pink pagoda lantern was on the mantel for Christmas, but I swapped out the mini ornaments inside for mini hearts and mixed them with apothecary jars.
In the living room, the fireplace mantel makes a big statement! As I was taking all the baubles off my Christmas tree this year, I mixed up all the pinks and reds and thought, “I have to use this somehow for Valentine’s Day!”
I had never assembled one of these necklaces before and to be honest I had no idea what I was doing. I just started gluing the balls into the honeycomb, randomly changing the colors and shapes. Here you can see how honeycomb balls are made. I just used leftover plastic Christmas beads and then started threading the hangers onto the baubles. I find that if I’m using ribbon or string, the beads help keep the thread where I want it. Sometimes I tie in hanging loops to keep them down and staples help keep some of them in place or secure them where I want them. It’s…mostly held together with staples, a bit of tape here and there, and a prayer! There are pipe cleaners on the back of my bow so I just attached them to the nails on the ends of the mantel that hold the beads.

The coffee table stayed the same as Christmas with a few tweaks – more hearts scattered in lanterns instead of decorations, fresh flowers instead of poinsettias, a bowl of hearts with a remote control and my glasses and a Sweethearts conversation heart in a candy bowl – perfect Valentine candy!!!

Last week my husband and I took a quick trip to Ikea. Unfortunately, about 1/2 of the items on my list (stock issues) were gone, but I snapped up these darling pillows as soon as I saw them! Well, it wasn’t that nice when I bought it. The filling was lumpy, but it was only $4.99, so I whipped them up and added pom poms of course!
The dining room is so simple. I picked up these cute little table trees at a clearing after Christmas. But, tucked into blue and white planters, they are now tiny center pines until spring!

Sometime last year I found a set of three metal hearts, I thought they would be great for Valentine’s Day. It’s the smallest, built around a large vase, it’s the perfect little touch. I use the other two hearts elsewhere in the house. I think they are so cute!
Besides putting together a honeycomb ball wreath, I don’t think decorating for Valentine’s Day has ever been easier! I’ve never kept enough pieces since Christmas to keep using, but I’m a fan!
Just a reminder because I’m not sure when that change will happen, but I hope it happens soon and I want you all to be aware-
