Cheap Christmas Table Decorating
Cheap Christmas Table Decorating – Let’s face it: Christmas is just as expensive. So when it comes to decorating, I get away with cheap Christmas table setting ideas.
With this exact concept in mind I hosted a Christmas table styling event for my friends at Metricon last week. The best part? It proved my theory that you can create an amazing festive table without spending a fortune. And if you didn’t get to attend, this post will give you all the pearls of wisdom you missed that day.
Cheap Christmas Table Decorating
The main takeaway here? You can replicate these inexpensive Christmas table setting ideas in your own home – all while keeping the budget intact. And below I’m going to show you how.
Christmas Decor Ideas: Gorgeous Centerpiece Ideas For Your Table
Now the only tough decision you have to make is which of these three looks you will be introducing at home!
This inexpensive Christmas table setting idea is inspired by Metricon’s Scandinavian booklet theme. This is a classic approach to the festive table. The best part is that it does not cost much to remove. Metricon’s design team sourced many of the finishing touches from stores like Kmart, Spotlight and Lincraft.
The general idea with all of these looks is that your basic pieces like the dining table and chairs you’ve already invested in. So all festive items should be cheap as chips. If you want to change the color scheme next year, you won’t have wasted a lot of money on decorations.
Delightful Diy Christmas Table Decor Projects To Do On A Budget
I definitely recommend that you make this look your own, but remember to keep the colors to a classic red and white combo. White is the dominant color and red is a striking accent.
Try to keep the red in the same tone. It is very easy to go to the store and buy red, then orange red, then pink red. Before you know it, the look has gone raw and nothing like the classic Scandi palette. You must be disciplined 😉
If you love nature, neutrals and rustic interior design, this inexpensive Christmas table setting has your name written all over it. What I love about this look is that it avoids the usual festive clichés. The color palette is muted, the look is textural, and it feels so incredibly Australian, don’t you think?
Christmas Table Setting: Classic And Elegant Christmas Table Decorations
This layout is inspired by Metricon’s Nordic Elk LookBook theme. The theme itself is clean, crisp and light-filled, but still retains a sense of comfort and craftsmanship. As I like to explain the table above, it’s good to know that the design of your home can influence your Christmas decorations every year.
Here’s another one of those inexpensive Christmas table setting ideas that you can totally put your own stamp on. Care has to be taken not to introduce any bright colors. It’s about rurality, neutrality on top of neutrality and soil. I’d say the only shades you can work with here are muddy olive greens.
Finally, we come to the most sophisticated form of the lot. Of the three inexpensive Christmas table setting ideas here, this one is the most daring. However, it is still an accessible location; Inspired by the Matticon High Street Lookbook theme. Don’t think your home has to be high end for this to work as it will fit in any home in black and white.
How To Make A Last Minute Christmas Table Setting
If you’re a fan of this style of decor, you’ll probably like the New York hotel vibe I covered in this post. A video is included so you can tour the home and get some luxurious, high-end ideas for your own home.
You’ll notice that although this Christmas table setting is classy, it’s also a bit earthy. We don’t go overboard to make him feel rich. It still has that easy, relaxed Australian feel.
That’s why rosemary is brought to the scene, and name cards are brown cardboard. This is a luxe-for-less look, so don’t feel pressured to go full throttle with the bling.

Christmas Table Centrepiece Ideas
Happy holidays! I love this time of year when friends and family get together to celebrate the season and usually food is involved! I find myself setting a lot of Christmas tables this time of year and it’s always a challenge when I want to make a centerpiece for a long table.
Luckily, I found an easy solution that only takes a few minutes and works with any color scheme or location settings!
This beautiful, crisp pine centerpiece works perfectly for long tables because it can be made as needed but is low and doesn’t block guests’ views.
Vintage Christmas Table Setting
To create this look, I started with a plain white tablecloth and then placed fresh pine branches in the center of the table. I trimmed any pieces that were too wide and made sure the ends were hidden.
For this table, I wanted to continue the tartan plaid theme from my family room Christmas decorations, so I tied 12″ strips of ribbon to pine branches along the entire length of a centerpiece. This is the same technique I use to put ribbon on my Christmas trees. You can view those details by clicking here.
After I had the ribbon laid out, I added copper painted greenery and then sprinkled frosted pinecones and glitter ornaments on the pine runner.
Diy Christmas Decoration Ideas
Adding six copper candle holders with white taper candles was the final touch. And that was it! So easy to make this centerpiece on a long table in just minutes!
Once I finished the centerpiece, I still wanted to add a little more tartan plaid accent, so I placed a piece of ribbon on each side of the table and let it drape over the edge. A simple v cut at the end of the ribbon is finished.
This simple ribbon accent was the perfect addition to the table and created a beautiful base for the place settings.
Easy Diy Christmas Table Decorations: Upcycling Ideas For An Eco Friendly Holiday
I used shiny copper chargers as the base of my place settings topped with light blue and white embossed plates. I added a dark blue napkin square to the salad plate and placed a piece of copper greenery, stringing garland all over.
I love this color combination and think it would be beautiful for Christmas or any holiday celebration.
This easy centerpiece is perfect for a long table and can be created in minutes using any color combination you like. I especially love the ribbon under the place settings as an extra accent on the white tablecloth. Hope this inspires you to make your fresh pine centerpiece this season!
