I love the “Chip and Jo” Magnolia box with its weathered texture. The painted Christmas trees and mixed berries are perfect in their simplicity.
With Jennifer’s staples in mind, I created a similar centerpiece using things I already had (or made). Then I filled in with some other interior details for a complete coffee table look.
For my coffee table, I decided to create a trio of items, which are a little busier than usual. (I guess I’m feeling a little “over-the-top” with the Christmas spirit this year.)

In the spirit of this month’s challenge, I wanted to include a box decorated for Christmas in my vignette. In a previous post, I talked about how to style coffee table drawer decor by grouping complementary items.
This wooden box was a gift from my late mother-in-law to my husband. I love the grooves and texture of this room and the simple clasp in the front.
Tip: Partially fill the box or crate with wrapping paper, newspaper or raffia to add height and stability.
How To Style The Best Christmas Coffee Table Decor
After filling the box halfway, I arranged a piece of real cedar wreath along with my wooden trees.
Tip: Add touches of greenery to liven up your coffee table decoration, and mix real and fake stems.
I cut a new tree this year on the band my husband designed. The others are bought in the store. Can you guess which one I made in the picture above?

To complete the centerpiece, I added some faux flocked pinecones, frosted berries and pine cones. So quick and easy!
You’ll notice that to draw attention to the screen I made sure the trees were taller than the rest of the coffee table. I also repeated the same berry stems on my Christmas tree in the background.
I often find that adding a small decorative sculpture to a coffee table makes the room feel cozier and cozier. My reindeer sculpture added the perfect finishing touch to my forest scene.
Coffee Table Styling Tips
The red ornament and books also brought a little pop of color into the scene. A coffee table always feels complete with some literature to enjoy.
A reused Christmas table runner stood throughout the coffee table exhibition. This helped to break up the wood textures and complement the neutral sofas, bringing the whole piece into harmony with the living room.
