Cookie Monster Table Decorations

Cookie Monster Table Decorations – This birthday party for my baby was so much fun to put together!! I was able to create custom embellishments using my Cricut Eplore Air 2 machine!! I chose the milk and cookie menu to match the Cookie Monster theme. We share all the details, tips and tricks we found while organizing this party. I have all of my favorite cookie recipes, fudge and cookie monster ice cream that I used for parties!! Let’s start with the invitation!!

Our little monster is 1 year old so loud and fun!! Loved this cute little horse!! To begin, open the Cricut design space. If you’re looking for cards, you can scroll down to find flat cards like these. Set it to the number you want to invite. Duplicate this image 2 times and change the colors to black and blue. Click Insert Picture and search for Cookie Monster. Find this image with just the head and cookie and insert it into the canvas. Enter text, each section is a separate set of words so you can resize as needed. Resize Cookie Monster and Cookies to your desired size. Select all the text and click the Attach button in the top right menu box. You need to do this because the Cricut can recognize the card with the lettering attached and cut around it!! After printing, cut this part. Send this part to the printer, then place the sheet on the mat and cut out the card. The printer prints a line so Cricket knows where it is. The design space tells you when everything should be done. Now you are ready, click the GO button.

Place the printed sheet on the cutting mat as shown. Design Space now prompts you to cut the card. Cut all the pieces according to the remaining whispers of color.

Now to put it all together I used another adhesive item that I glued to the cookies. Use Zort to layer the cards and cookie monsters, then use bubbles to give the cookie monsters and cookies dimension. Look how beautiful!! I love them!!

Open the design space and search for Cookie Monster and Cookies. Insert the image and resize it to your desired size. Duplicate Cookie Monster 4 times and Cookie 13 times. Click GO and follow the prompts to change the color and crop all images. Attach the layers together using Zots.

Create a happy birthday letter in design space. Resize it to fit your cookie. I used the ZOO DAY font.

Attach those characters to a cookie using Zots. Take a hole punch and punch a hole in both the cookie monster and the cookie. Squeeze the thread and attach it to the hanger, leaving enough space behind the cookie.

I used a pen to write words and cut out circles to make food labels. Select an insert shape on the left.

Design space. I used a circle to add text and adjust the size and font to your liking. I used Rob & Bob- Seaside from Circut Fonts. Once you have the letters in the circle, select the pen you want to use by clicking on the corresponding layer on the right. When the window appears, select Write and select the pen you want to use. Now you can select both the letter and the circle and paste them together by clicking Paste in the upper right corner of the design space. Create all labels and click GO.

Follow the instructions to insert the pen into the Cricut and click GO. The machine will then write and cut all the labels!! What a surprise! You can have a beautiful handwritten label.

My favorite part of this party was the milk bottles!! We created custom vinyl lettering to add to each bottle!! I used blue Glitter Vinyl from the Cricut. Add as many text duplicates as you can in your design space. I made a big label to add to the big milk bottles.

Place a mat with vinyl and click GO. Remove the negative material and apply transfer tape over all the words. Press and rub the transfer tape over the lettering using the Cricut tool. Cross out each word. Remove the vinyl backing and place it on the bottle. Rub it on the bottle and remove the transfer tape.

Repeat for the larger bottle. I found all of these milk bottles and larger bottles at Target in the dollar aisle. I honestly love that aisle for party stuff!!

They also made small cookies to stick to the straws of the milk bottles. What I did was select the cookies I used for the party at Deisgn Space and print them on my printer and flatten the images so I could duplicate them as needed. Click on Go

Follow the instructions to print on your printer, then add your mat, click GO, and Cricut will cut it out for you. Punch a hole in the middle and use a hole punch to attach the straw!!

I wanted to decorate the baby chair so he could eat his cake. I cut out a big cookie monster eating a cookie. You can find it by searching Cookie Monster on Designspace. I made it as big as a 12×12 sheet.

This image is quite complicated and won’t work if the paper isn’t well-adhered, so use a good sticky mat. Follow the prompts, then glue all the pieces together using joists and a glue stick. I also added these cute tissue paper tassels that I got from Michael’s.

I loved how this party came together and how I could customize it so much!! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Circuit Explore Air 2. The possibilities are truly endless. Here are all the pictures from the party!
