Crate And Barrel Decorations For Entry Table

Crate And Barrel Decorations For Entry Table – Ever since we took down the Christmas decorations I have been so excited about our home decor! The holiday emptiness really hit me this year! I’m also just one of those people who always needs a project. And with the holidays over, tackling our dashboards has become my number one priority! I’m excited to share our vision and how our simple, modern console table decor really comes together!

Although I started with our TV console, I also bought and styled an entryway console! The spaces are quite different, but I have the same vision of a simple, modern space for each!

The console under our TV is one of the last pieces of furniture we add to our living room before the holidays. And I really didn’t think about it until we took down the village of white ceramic houses after Christmas. Given its central location in the room directly below the TV, it’s hard to miss its emptiness!

But since there is a TV above, I wanted to make sure the console decoration was kept to a more minimal level. Minimalist decor is more my style, but the last thing I want is a mess under the TV we all watch multiple times a day!

After browsing through Pinterest, I have collected several things around our house. Candlesticks, cookbooks and a large bowl all become props. Having some widgets to work with allows me to get a better overview of what’s working in the space. If you want to renew the space in your home, I highly recommend taking this step! Amazing how that helps create a better idea of what (if anything!) needs to be purchased!

When I had more vision, I reached out to some of my favorite stores: Homewares, Target, Hobby Lobby, and World Market. This is how my vision came to life!

We still need to fix the exposed cables, but for now I’m really happy with how it all looks! You can also watch a quick video on how to style it here on Instagram:

Our entryway is a space I struggle with a bit more. I put together our TV console decoration for a day, but getting in is so much more than a process!

After deciding to get this console from World Market, I knew I wanted to hang a domed mirror above it. We have a round mirror above the fireplace and I wanted something different for the space. Unfortunately, the large dome mirrors are a bit hard to find! I ordered this from Amazon. It was exactly what I imagined! Sorry, it’s out of stock, but World Market just released this one this week! Apparently I applied just a few weeks too early.

Although most of our house is very neutral, I added accent colors of interest. I was really intrigued by this green lamp and immediately started looking for prints that could coordinate and fit the space. If you’re looking for printables, I highly recommend checking out Etsy! I found this set to be a great value (under $10!). Then I send them off to be printed at Mpix, which I also highly recommend for high-quality, true-to-life color prints!

Decorating a panel in the entryway can be a really fun design endeavor, especially if you’re into his creativity. While you may be tempted by the details, don’t feel pressured to make everything perfect. Consider the following two simple rules. First, choose decorations that really suit your space. If you need this board to serve some purpose (like holding keys and mail by the front door), prioritize that and focus on the container rather than the target.

Simple Modern Console Table Decor

Let’s start with some design basics, shall we?! Don’t hesitate to use a mirror or artwork as a focal point.

It goes without saying that you should choose a console table that matches your decor. For example, if you need to avoid a messy look, consider choosing a piece of acrylic. It can see through and create the illusion of more space. Below we see the stylish Peekaboo acrylic panel from CB2:

Make a statement with greenery. There’s nothing like a simple vase full of tropical leaves or a modern pot in the shape of your favorite plant to create a welcoming greeting in your entryway. In the next picture we see Elke Marble Console with bronze base from Barrel & Barrel:

Ways To Decorate A Console Table

Create interest by decorating that stands out with multiple heights. Lamps are a great way to utilize vertical space while also illuminating your space. Stacking boxes and books can also help create the height you need. Lower elements, such as a tray for mail, can also be useful.

For many of us, a “less is more” view is most useful for input, especially if your record is small (or basically non-existent). Leaving room to appreciate a few key pieces will set a calm tone and create a spacious atmosphere, even in the most compact living rooms. Here’s a good strategy for a small console: create a stack of decorative items. We love the stack of books topped with a lamp below in the photo with CB2’s Peekaboo Smoke Acrylic Panel:

If you don’t need your desk to hold essentials like mail, try stacking up some framed artwork and adding one or two other decorations. The result: a screen size that takes up little space.

Create an asymmetrical look by grouping a few items to the side. You have a big impact, even if the contributions are small. In addition, most of the surface remains undecorated, creating a clean, minimalist look.

Try placing a sofa under the desk to save space. Now you have a place to sit when you put on your shoes before heading out the door, but everything is tucked away in a compact area. In this case, more looks like less!

The console focus of today’s article shouldn’t be overlooked, but if you’re really into the “less is more” look, you can always opt for a sofa in your entryway. It’s lower to the ground, saving wall space, and you can even display an item or two on a chair if you need the couch to double as a small table! If there is no limit to what your entrance can hold, go ahead! Now we’re sharing some cool design ideas that work with any board, including those with more than one level. For starters, include a case or two to hold things like keys, mail, shoes, and more! Below we see a bunch of decorative and practical parts of the Crate & Barrel Echelon Dashboard:

You can also choose console tables with built-in drawers for maximum storage, such as this beautiful table from Cox & Cox:

Another strategy worth trying: keep it simple with a few items on the top level of the table and a container or plant on the bottom. The look here is one of simple beauty rather than opulence.

If you display multiple sections on multiple layers, create a purposeful, organized look. Try to avoid using your desk as a collection point for the items you bring home.

Last but not least, don’t feel the need to fill every part of every shelf. As always, empty spaces can create a sense of calm, especially when it comes to entryway consoles.
