Decorating Table For Christmas – Today I share an idea to set a festive Christmas table – with plaid, with gold and a touch of red velvet and magical twinkle.
I can’t believe how fast this year has gone by!! Christmas just seems to sneak up on me, even though I’ve been decorating since October!! One of my favorite things to decorate for the holidays is the table. I really enjoy the creative process of putting together a beautiful table for Christmas Eve. We don’t have guests this year, but that doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy the simple look of this table with my family.
Decorating Table For Christmas
Christmas Eve is always the night we go to church, and come home to have a big Christmas party. We will see the church online this year.. but we try to make the rest of Christmas Eve seem as normal as possible. This easy Christmas table look would be perfect for the five of you. I know my two-year-old son, Oliver, might not appreciate it…he won’t even sit at the table for long. But starting this tradition with my family is very important to me.
Farmhouse Christmas Decor Ideas Focused Around Simplicity
Every year growing up, my mother would do the same thing. As a little girl, I loved helping her set the table every Christmas Eve. I have so many fond memories of helping her pick out the napkins, setting up the settings…..and being a part of the process. I know my girls will one day!
The table should not be higher, just a few small touches can make such a big difference. This year I used everything I already had. I didn’t use fresh flowers, but I did cut some branches from a cedar tree in my yard.
For this look, I used a piece of fabric! I want a long draped table runner, and the easiest way to achieve it is to cut some beautiful fabric!
