The Best Small Patio Ideas To Enjoy This Summer

One of my favorite places to set a table outside is in my backyard at my home in Washington. Our patio area is surrounded by evergreen trees and is always very pretty, especially in spring and summer.

I love this beautiful Giuliettta Blue tableware from Arte Italica and the table runner and napkins from Crown Linen Designs. Special napkins go well with this crockery. (The source is in the highlighted text and at the bottom of the post.)

I cut blue and white hydrangeas and other plants from my garden and bought some flowers at the local market. The blue hydrangeas in my garden were in full bloom and matched the tableware perfectly.

Create A Backyard Paradise With These 32 Ideas

I added some poppy pods and greenery to the hydrangeas and arranged them in a matching blue and white Giulietta vase to create this centerpiece. I placed a linen table runner underneath and placed a few more hydrangeas around the bottom of the jar.

I had extra flowers and a beautiful pewter vase from Arte Italica, so I made another floral arrangement. You can never have enough flowers!

Then I added some candles and placed them around the table. I love the romantic vibe the candles add to the outdoor table.

I also added some blue dove Giulietta to the center of the table. These are really cute and I attached them to either side of the flowers.

Another thing I like to do is put dessert on the table. You can add the rest of the food if you want to serve it that way, or you can always do it buffet style as well. Adding candy to the table is decorative and adds more beauty to the table. I bought this blueberry lemonade cake and placed it on a mini cake pan and it was delicious!

Don’t be afraid to mix and match crockery and wine glasses. I didn’t have enough of everything to create six identical settings, so I mixed and matched to create this table layout.
