Disney Frozen Table Decorations

Disney Frozen Table Decorations – When I came up with Frozen birthday party ideas for my daughter’s party, I wanted an elegant look – fit for a princess. But I wanted it to match the baby’s expectations of what a Frozen party should look like. This means that it should be very clearly frozen without using many characters. The result was a beautiful Frozen birthday party that made all her Frozen dreams come true with handmade elements and a few characters.

My daughter absolutely loves Frozen and Frozen 2. She’s seen Frozen more times than I can count, and both soundtracks are on repeat in this house. While I was thinking of a Frozen 2 party, I decided not to make it strictly Frozen 2, instead incorporating elements from both movies with a nod to a new favorite.

I designed her Frozen birthday party invitation using Anna and Elsa silhouettes. I had planned to include silhouettes in other places throughout the party, but as the plan progressed I abandoned those ideas. To make sure I had clear graphics for the Frozen invitation, I purchased clipart from Etsy.

We adore Olaf and “When I’m Big” is one of our favorite songs. So I thought the line “everything makes sense when you grow up” was perfect for a birthday invitation. Because it wouldn’t be surprising if it were true 🙂

A table was set in the center of the party. Sparkly sequin tablecloths (reused at her unicorn birthday party) make the perfect snowy backdrop.

I used a lot of symbolism as I wanted to avoid using too many characters during the party. The glitter tulle (Joanne’s) used on the backdrop, tables and entrance was not only beautiful, but also symbolized the river full of memories from Frozen 2.

My frozen birthday party table decoration ideas included giant snowball centerpieces that were added last minute for the party. I love tissue paper balls because they are so easy to make (google tissue paper pom poms – lots of tutorials). I used white tissue paper I had at home and did all three in minutes. After the party I cut the ribbon holding them together and I will reuse the tissue paper and gift bags. So it’s a very green craft too!

The purple frame is Michael’s laser cut frame. It came unfinished so I painted it to match. This is a two-sided frame, so I plan to paint the other side for another party. I cut a number three out of a snack box and painted it white before wrapping it in the same glitter tulle strip. Then I cut vellum snowflakes with my Cricut and attached them with glue.

In full disclosure, I want to share my cupcake frustration because I think it’s important for other moms to know that no party is perfect. I had a very specific vision for the frozen cupcakes. I printed out the photo I found and wrote on the photo to make sure the colors were pastels and not dark. Well, the bakery failed me – big time.

It looks nothing like the picture I provided (which they said they couldn’t do any problem). Honestly, they don’t freeze very well. Some of the other cupcakes (not on display) look like my kids frosted them. I did a bakery because I’m not confident in my ice cream skills, but if I had the time I would clean this up and start over. But I trusted the baker and my husband picked this up for me right before the party without time for backup. So here’s my lesson for next time – make the cupcakes the night before.

On the other hand, I love frozen ice rock candy and frozen candy canes (Christmas trees). And the frozen marshmallow pops came out perfect.

Above the party favors table, I turned my gallery wall of family photos into a Frozen gallery wall. One place I allowed frozen characters in the party. laugh out loud I do this for most of my girls’ parties because it’s so easy! I looked up frozen images on Google, cut them to 5×5 inches, and then printed them at home. Instead of opening the frames, I attach them directly to the glass and it instantly transforms the wall.

My daughter loves accessories. So I decided that Frozen accessories were perfect for a proper Frozen party. I try very hard to make non-junk party favors. Things that kids will use over and over instead of throwing away when they get home. Hope I was successful with the frozen bracelet and DIY princess crown.

I was so happy to find the Moti Frozen 2 bracelet from Party City. I know my daughter will get a ton of wear out of it, hopefully other girls will too.

I have seen many store bought crowns, but over the years we have had several that either broke easily or hurt my daughter’s hair. So I decided to make them. I used a soft headband and made it strong enough to stand up to play dress up. My daughter wears hers every day since the party.

Except for my oldest daughter’s shirt (which we found on clearance at Target) I made the rest of the shirts using my Cricut. It was my first big venture to make sure I was proud of them. I also love that they are shirts that we will all wear again. If you’ve never made your own shirt before, I think the key is to start with a nice shirt that you actually want to wear. (Mom and Dad’s plain shirts are from the men’s section at Target, daughter’s plain shirt is from Old Navy.)

My daughter’s Anna dress is from a small shop that does limited edition. They are beautiful and comfortable, but once she sells them, they are gone. If you’re looking for an Anna (or Elsa) inspired outfit (not a dress), check out these beauties.

This party was for my 3 year old Elsa fan whose favorite color is purple so I knew I had to have a color scheme of purple, light blue and white.

For a cleaner look, I customized the free printable by adding text before printing, instead of handwriting. You can do this in any photo/image program that allows you to add text. I used Photoshop, but you can do it with PicMonkey (free) or a similar website/program.

Luckily I already had quite a few snowflakes and winter decorations from my stash of Christmas and winter decorations, so I included some of them (although I had to pull them out of the back of the storage cabinet in September).

This includes white frosty swag on top of the table backdrop, plastic snowflakes hanging from the banner and also used to make the walls, as well as table snowflakes that are actually window stickers 🙂

I used my snowflake candle holder to hold the napkins, cutlery and walls and my silver snowflake bucket to hold the snowman kits. I also already have used plastic picture frames to display quote symbols, but I believe you can buy those at the dollar store.

The crowns came as is – silver with pale blue hearts (like a frozen heart!) which I thought was perfect.
