Fashion Side Table Decoration – 5 rules for perfect living room decoration ideas + the best things to combine to make it beautiful and functional.
A couple of weeks ago I asked all of you on Instagram and the Blessed Home Decorator Group what you needed help with and what you wanted to see here on the blog this year, some of you said you were stumped. Table decoration ideas, how to style shelves, how to choose the right size…
Fashion Side Table Decoration
Just in case it’s not one of those things that comes to you. (I’m stuck a lot too, really.)
Small Side Tables That Radiate Modern Charm
So I break down the steps to make every little part of decorating your home as easy as possible and hopefully take the guesswork out of you.
Every week or two I plan to focus on one area of the house and break it down into a whole list. I’m so excited and hope this helps! Because I’m a little crazy about these things.
Since I’m temporarily updating my room for winter the other day, I thought I’d show you how to style the end tables because they seem like the perfect place to start.
Coffee Table Decor Ideas And How To Style Them
I’m not an interior design expert, but I’ve researched every resource I could find for YEARS, so I’m just sharing what I know. (And during the holidays, when my mother and I went to the mountains of North Carolina, I found these tables, which I still could not wait to decorate, so …)
(Did you know that 3 is the “magic decor number”? It creates the best balance. Essentially, try this number on something: on the mantelpiece, on the chest of drawers, on the shelf. It job.
This code works for “groups” as well. In the image above, a frame placed on top of a stack of books counts as one group.
Coffee Table Decorating Ideas
I usually need a set of lamps and a table lamp as essentials, and other things can be just decorative items that don’t have to serve a functional purpose.
I like to include a vase or glass of flowers to add color, texture and “life” to what would otherwise be a flat side table.
If you have two items of the same height on your desk, lift one up so that they overlap. Books or books on the coffee table are great for those who wake up.
The Living Room Rules You Should Know
Whenever you decorate the shelves, the table, or any kind of vignette, put things in the shape of a triangle. “Visual triangle” is the stylist’s best kept secret.
I really like the Philips Hue White lights. They’re not quite yellow, but they’re not quite white either, and they work with Alexa and Google Assistant if you want to make your bulbs smart.
I would love to have one of these to store small items that end up on our desks like change, jewelry, etc.
How To Style An End Table Like A Pro
Choose vintage fragrances so you can use them all year round and don’t worry about storing them when they aren’t made. Tips for decorating the capsule. 😉
We usually have extra comforters and nude Barbie dolls thrown on ours, but that’s only if you want your outfit to look the same.
It doesn’t matter. It’s great if you want the furniture to match your room, but the end tables of the space add more definition to the furniture.
How To Style A Coffee Table
The table should be within two inches of the height of the bed frame, no higher and no lower than two inches. The table setting is the best decoration of the home furniture. But it is not always easy to add accessories to the table! What items should be on the final table? What makes this piece useful? And how to make an interesting coffee table? Many of us don’t think much about how each side table in our home looks amazing, much less how it will blend in with the rest of the room. However, I hope I can decorate every table in your house simple, functional, and oh wonderful! Let’s style the table side!
Today in the Tips & Tricks Podcast, we’re talking about END TABLES! How to choose them, what to use and how to decorate! If you are interested in side tables, this theme is for you!

Sydne Style Shows Home Decor Styling With Marble Side Table
Today I will show a simple and easy way to decorate the table. The way the table is arranged depends on the size of the horizontal surface, the size of the things that can be placed on the table, and how the table will be used in the end!
If your table is large and will not be used to hold someone else’s drink, you can add larger items and spread them out a bit.
If your table will be used for occasional drinks, there should be plenty of space so nothing can get passed over.
Console Table Decorating Ideas For Every Room In The House
Not everything I share today may be on every end table. Choose the ones that are right for you and your room!
I have two identical lamps on the end table on either side of my bed. However, the final tables are different in shape. The color and length are the same and I love it when they don’t match!
Today I am sharing a nice sized coffee table with two shelves. The end table with shelves is a great success in decoration! Sometimes they are simply decorated, like here, and sometimes they are not so much decorated as they are filled with use!
Side Table Designs That Do All The Things
Back to the matchi-mati, I like the same lamps on the side of the sofa. It brings a little shape which I love! All of my end tables are big enough to hold the weight of my big lamp. The lampshade is just tolerable. You can see the throat of the lamp (and it’s not), but the bullet is not visible (thank God). I love the little on/off chains that hang and want to show them off.
I like tall lamps because I have high ceilings, but a small one would work here too! It’s helpful to keep in mind how much table space your lamp will take up.
It is very important to find a balance between the size of the lamp and the size of the table! The lamp is the most important thing in the design of the table!

For me, books not only bring character and color to the coffee table, they also act as stand-ins! Oh, I love a collection of books! If you have room at the end of the table, consider adding two or three books to it. They really shouldn’t take up space if you’re using them as a perch for something on them!
I chose to decorate the books with shades of blue to work with the coasters on the table! By the way…you know how much I LOVE Savannah, also known as Mother’s Mother! Paula Dean
The country is better decorated! This is one of my favorite decorating books of all time! You can check out the book HERE.
How To Style Your Nightstand What Every Nightstand Should Have
A desk is the best place to display artwork or photos! As you can see, I have a silhouette of Wonder Dog Bo on my desk! Just a small picture or a small drawing will add warmth and charm to the coffee table. If the glass I chose for the flowers wasn’t big enough, I could have put a picture of Bo next to the flowers on the books!
I get a lot of emails asking why I don’t have space for family photos at home. The answer is pretty simple. I don’t want them in my photos on my blog. I think my children (and now my grandson Anderson and soon to be granddaughter Emma-Kate) deserve a little privacy.
So instead of taking them off every time I take a picture, I keep them in my bedroom for fun. Now that this apartment is ready to share, I’m not sure what to do!
How To Style A Coffee Table
If your end table is close to the wall, a small mirror behind some items on the table can look amazing! Even consider placing a small empty space in front of a mirror or large piece of art.
Not every table in the room should have something natural, like flowers. But maybe one or two would be nice! Today Bobby collected these snapdragons from our garden. So of course I use them. And I decided to put them in a handmade glass vase, which also works as a work of art.
Just a few small flowers in a small vase will add life and beauty to the side table. Other organic matter such as sticks and branches or even very pleasing artificial plants will soften the table too!

A good bowl of willow or moss balls will work too! Be creative and work with the things you have. I even put a flower
