Green And Tan Diy Apple Table Decor
I designed this green and gold Christmas party last year, but never got a chance to show it here. But I’m happy to share now because apparently the 2017 Pantone color of the year is green (or green), so we’re on trend! 😉
How To Properly Set A Table For Thanksgiving Dinner
This was one of the easiest table decoration styles or tablescapes I’ve ever done. My sister came from London for Christmas and I wanted to create a cosy, homey atmosphere for our family dinner.
And the timing of this post is also quite convenient as I’m jumping with some great friends today! We’re all sharing great ideas for the holidays, so check out the previous awesome post from the talented Giggle Living for some holiday inspiration!
So I grabbed food from the garden and literally Kat’s table together the night before! To decorate the table, I cut branches of laurel, eucalyptus and ferns and placed them directly on the table, creating a rustic runner in the middle. I added Christmas tree ornaments and artificial winter berries to the openings.

TIP: Combining real leaves with fake flowers or buds is so affordable and makes the fake stuff real! 😋
These were made the night before dinner, no joke. I will also share a DIY tutorial next week. So quick and easy, and it adds a touch of golden sparkle to any place setting!
Each place setting was set with a green charger, white plates with gold details and gold cutlery. I tied the dishes with velvet and satin ribbons for texture, in various shades of green, and attached a few Christmas tree ornaments. Gold shimmering jeweled place card holders completed the look. So easy, right?!

Between the fed leaves and greenery I added tall ceramic candle holders in different shades of green. It added warmth and height to the center piece.
I spent a little more time on the dinner menu, but it wasn’t too difficult either. I served roast pork with mustard and herb crust (recipe coming next week), fried sprouts, applesauce and roasted vegetables. Pork and veggies that you can make a day ahead and pop in the oven the day of the party, so it’s a super easy dinner menu!
The applesauce was homemade, but it’s so simple and easy. And just like desserts, can be made in advance. The starter I served Smoked mackerel pasta served on top of endive leaves. I hope to get the recipe here soon.

Mince pies can also be used as edible party favors for guests to take home. Just pack them in the super cute gold foil packaging below and you’re good to go! 💗
Party Cocktails Wine and homemade pistachio Irish cream (a translation of this Irish Cream recipe where I replaced the almond flavors with pistachio). I served pistachio liqueur in glasses rimmed with green sugar and topped with crunchy pistachios. So delicious and also beautiful!
Decorating With Green Walls: With Paint, Pattern, Or Accents |
To decorate the dessert buffet/bar I used more garden fodder leaves and branches in the vase, and for the candlesticks I used green (beer!) bottles. I wrapped each bottle in printable chevron paper from BirdsParty.com to complete the look. They were displayed on silver trays and gave a lot of cozy light in the room.
The menu was also displayed on the buffet and I printed it with the same arrow pattern and added it to a DIY white bauble card holder (like the glitter place card holders) and placed it on a silver tray surrounded by lots of greenery. votive candles.
For the background of the desert bar, I drew a freehand drawing with chalk and a board. But you could also use a printable sign here and it would be just as awesome, not to mention easier! – Email us so we can make a custom printable sign for you!😊

The word “rustic” means something different to everyone. Some couples may envision a western-inspired celebration on a farm, while others envision an intimate gathering on a farm. One imagines an enchanting forest setting with boho details, while the other imagines a formal event in a French country house.

For a simple yet elegant design that works in almost any setting, opt for rich olive leaf accented with white piping, like this couple’s woodland wedding. The flower girls also wore crowns made of olive leaves and also carried hearts made of branches down the aisle.
This bride was adamant about throwing the linen on the tables for a chic, rustic look. These were topped with individual flowers in vases and various types of candlesticks and candelabra, while an installation of dried grass made a real eye-catching front.
Easy Rustic Centerpieces For Winter
You only have to visit a farmer’s market to know how beautiful a display of fresh produce can be, and fruits and vegetables can also add appeal to your party centerpiece. This runner, created for the couple’s elegant farmhouse wedding, contained artichokes, pomegranates and apples around a wreath of cabbage and lettuce.
Natural flower arrangements, such as daisies, chamomile and sunflowers, give a happy, charming look and are especially suitable for casual summer parties. This couple’s welcome party featured wooden tables set with pots of wildflowers, rattan chargers and blue and white linens.
Lanterns can take a tablescape as casual or formal, depending on the shape and style of the lanterns. This couple’s welcome party featured picnic tables topped with old-fashioned lanterns reminiscent of the Old West, and napkins tied to display a scarf, cheerful flowers and ceramic fish—a nod to the riverside setting. Guests enjoyed activities such as archery and ax throwing in the early evening and gathered around the campfire to make s’mores after dinner.

For a simple yet elegant arrangement, choose a container that evokes the style of your party and fill it with fresh fruit. This couple, who got married at the end of summer on a farm in California, chose apples, but the concept also works well with lemons, peaches, oranges or pears.
How To Store Apples (and Keep Them Fresh)
An arrangement made of several small vases and mini bottles makes each stem stand out, is a simple DIY and allows for flexible grouping around other decor elements, such as table numbers. For their wedding in Colorado, this couple created clusters of pink, white and blue flowers placed in bud vases and wine bottles.
Even a little green on the table adds a natural element to the interior. For their Pennsylvania warehouse wedding, this couple covered in crisp white linen
