Green Gold Table Decor – With our building still covered in snow, it’s hard to believe that Easter is almost here! In anticipation of our Easter dinner, I was excited to put together this green and white spring table setting for Easter Sunday.

Easter will look a little different for us this year because our daughter won’t be home that weekend because of her finals. Montana State changed their semester schedule due to the pandemic so it will end on April 27th! Crazy times, for sure.

Now that both of our kids are away from home, I haven’t been as obsessed with decorating for Easter this year (I always do when they’re home). Usually, I just focus on decorating for spring (more on that later!).

My goal with this table setting was to keep it simple “Easter wise” so I could just pull out the bunny and eggs after Easter and still a beautiful spring table setting to use after the holidays.

On Easter, we celebrate our Risen King!! As Christians, Easter is a wonderful time of reflection and hope, celebrating the new life of our Savior.

What I try to achieve at holiday brunches, lunches, or dinners is to strike a balance between the casual feel and the “fantasyness” that my kids want to embody at times. like Easter.

The starting point for this table setting is our new Lenox Opal Innocence Flourish Accent Plats. They have a beautiful, feminine nature with a “brilliant” touch from the golden tone. The floral pattern feels fresh and modern and perfect for spring!

Funny story about the word “fancy”. This is the family nickname given to me by my cousin Barbara-Ellen. I thought it was very funny but it was definitely appropriate. 😉

Now, back to our Easter table setting… our rustic dining room table definitely feels suitable for a more casual look which is why I chose to use my braided rattan charger. I couldn’t find the actual charger for you, but I was able to find several similar options below.

In the middle, I started with the salvaged moss mat and placed it at an angle for added interest. It really sets up the whole table setting.

I used the same piece of moss to accent my recent green and white table setting (shown here).

To finish off the centerpiece, I made two simple arrangements with flowers from Trader Joe’s (which last until Easter). Note that I added decorative eggs and moss to customize it for Easter.

Next, I added brass candles to coordinate with the gold on the Lenox accent plates. I really believe that candles with taper candles really create a great feeling of elegance and formality.

Next, I added some Easter themed elements (bunny and golden eggs) to compliment the place settings. Finally, I added small pieces of preserved moss to tie everything together.

As for the place setting, it was all about coordinating with the green, white and gold tones in the center. Combining our cream and green organza napkins with brass napkin rings adds a beautiful touch of elegance and formality to a special occasion.

As for glassware, you must know how I like to mix things up. If you know…you know!! My green wine glasses are a staple for us and I love mixing them with other glassware, including our vintage gold wine goblets.

To complement the table, I also display the gorgeous Opal Innocence Flourish Footed Centerpiece Bowl on our buffet. I was going to use it for our centerpiece, but if I filled it with flowers, you wouldn’t see how beautiful and elegant it was. Instead, I’m going to use it to serve our salad for Easter dinner.

There are so many beautiful colors to play with and pumpkins seem to come in all kinds of colors, shapes and textures! Who doesn’t love velvet pumpkin?!! This green and gold harvest table setting if filled with dark green velvet pumpkins, pretty dainty flowers and some of my precious things.

I like to add other elements to the dining room to complement the tablescape. You can never have enough velvet pumpkins so I added more brown velvet pumpkins under this beautiful wooden sign from Teal Barn Signs (the sign is linked at the end of the post in the item photo slide ). To add some color to the area under the sign, I placed some of the flowers left over from the center of the wreath in a galvanized tin bucket and placed them on top of an old grate.

For the place setting I used my dark green crockery with a layer of my favorite gold and white Limoges Havilland plates. I love mixing old and new.

I used gold flower shaped placemats, gold flatware, gold rimmed goblets and dark green tweed napkins and gold napkins.

I added gold accents all over the table. Even the edge of the charger has antique gold painting.

I like to add long garlands to fill the center of the table. My table is a large trestle table and I like how it looks when I create this type of tabletop without a lot of free space on the table. I usually don’t put my food on the table because it gets stained easily so if you prefer to add food to the table you can use matching serving pieces and a center piece or to cut a garland.

Another reason I like to do this is because it puts the decorations under the table so you can see the people in front of you when you sit down to eat. The centerpiece should draw your eyes to it but not obstruct your view of other guests.

I like to create a little more height in the middle of the necklace and then let it taper off towards the end. For this tableau, I placed the largest green velvet pumpkin in the center of the wreath and then cut out the smaller ones in the rest of the wreaths.

I started with a basic green garland and then added various faux green stems and white flowers on each side going in opposite directions from the center.

Then I added more green velvet pumpkin, gold candles with ivory tape candles, and gold votive candles to fill the rest of the space.

I always say beauty is in the details and if you look closely at every detail I think you will agree with me! Here you can see a small detail where I mix the old and the new the old green salt and pepper. It was a gift from my mother. She also loves foods, so adding her to the table reminds me of her and the fun times we had finding dishes at the antique store.

Another little detail I added is these gold and white bread plates that say “harvest” and “gathering”. I changed them to each place setting and it brings a drop element to the table. They also pair well with gold and antique plates.

The final detail was adding those white and green velvet cushions to the end chairs. They pair perfectly with the green velvet pumpkins and are the final piece of the whole tablescape which makes it perfect for a family gathering around the dinner table.
