How To Decorate My Console Table – This post reminds you that you don’t need an entryway to have a console table! We don’t have any front wall space, so I decided to put a console table in the kitchen. We have a small corner and surprisingly, it fits perfectly! I like to decorate it with cookbooks, kitchen accessories (wooden bowls, candles, etc.) so it’s really functional decor as well. I’ve found this little space in my home soared and recommend it to anyone looking to jazz up their home on a budget. It really makes me smile, and we spend a lot of time in this part of the house, so it’s a big win!
A reminder to shop your home first! Most of the items pictured below were previously owned by me. I always put items I don’t use in the closet so I can keep returning/replacing as needed. This has already saved me a lot of time/money! I try to buy timeless (neutral, non-trendy) pieces that will last longer. Don’t forget to check out the local markets, thrift stores, and more! However, Target is always my go to for expensive (seemingly expensive) items! My home decor style has definitely evolved over the past year, so I’ve been shopping a bit more than I’d like to admit. Oh!
How To Decorate My Console Table
I personally love using woven baskets and stuffing them with fancy blankets and cozy staples. I’ve seen many bloggers put a pillow in this area! It’s all about creating an inviting and warm atmosphere. I also love that my console table is next to the sofa in the living room. Another commonly used functional design element.

I love making mirrors the focal point of these console tables. It will not only make the room look bigger but will also improve the area completely. With so many different styles (oval, gold, bronze, antique, etc.) you can make it totally your own! This is what I got (it’s a similar option) but I’m totally into all things black right now.
Height is very important when decorating. I find herbs fix everything! Once I added this faux olive plant, it felt like it was already put together. Any way to elevate the eye in decor is great! I also added neutral wall art for dimension. Adding layers to the table gives it a sophisticated look that never gets old.
Since my table is in the kitchen, I thought it would be fun to include my favorite cookbook (Half Baked Harvest, she’s a legend) and I wanted a neutral spine. Another tip for books is to turn them so the pages are facing you. This is the tip I use for my mantle to create an even color palette. Since many of my books are colorful and busy, this ensures that everything is neutral.

Not sure why, but the power is there for a group of 3 items. Whether it’s a candle, a wooden bowl, a brass knot – beauty to the eye.
I think it is very important to maximize space in our small house. I keep a lot of markers/art supplies in these drawers!
Anywhere! Whether you need extra kitchen storage/decor (me!) or use as a bar cart, buffet table, entryway table. The options are truly endless. These tables are incredibly versatile and there is no right/wrong way to design them. As I said, you don’t have to use it at the entrance (although, it’s a very popular route).
