Mickey Mouse Table Decoration – Meeska Mouska Mickey Mouse! We’re having a Mickey Mouse birthday party and we’ve rounded up the best Mickey Mouse Party ideas, including decorations, desserts, and party favors for fun (and maybe you’ll get some inspiration!)

Lori and I stayed for the project. If we don’t have a project to work on, we’re a little lost. We usually start planning for Allison’s birthday in July or March. We always say we start too early (and my husband thinks we’re crazy), but we usually do projects at the end of party week. Starting early gives us time to refine our ideas and see if they are possible. We’ve done a lot of hard work on things we wouldn’t have done if it hadn’t been for us. For Allison’s 3rd birthday, we went with a Mickey Mouse birthday party theme. We knew we wanted to rock the backyard with bouncy houses and water slides, so we tried to add a touch of Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse with Mickey Mouse party ideas like DIY projects, decorations, and desserts!

The Mickey Mouse Tablecloth is the star of the show and easy to make. We covered the dining room table with two red tablecloths, only to find that the tablecloth had fallen to the floor. We put a black fringe on it. We cut two white egg “buttons” from the printing paper and glued them to the red ribbons. Such a simple yet brilliant sentence! For an authentic Mickey Mouse Cupcake Stand, we covered four Amazon shipping boxes with packing paper and placed them on the table in a pyramid shape. The little box on top is for Mickey Mouse Cupcakes. Finally, we’ve put together Mickey Mouse’s Dandruff and Minnie Mouse’s Dandruff on the screen.

A party isn’t a party without balloons, but when there’s a worldwide Helium shortage, you’ll have to get a little creative with your balloons. Balloon columns are an easy and fun alternative to helium-filled balloons. This was our first attempt at a balloon column for a Mickey Mouse party and we absolutely love how it turned out! A column of balloons consists of a row of balloon clusters. Each group consists of four balls. The key to the best looking columns is to try to make all the balloons the same size. And then two balloons. Then make two sets of double balloons into a group of four balloons. The four groups are connected vertically. Here we use the Coleman Instant Canopy. But you can also block part of the water pipe to the ground or to a tree. Attach four groups to your vertical element. Arrange them together, twisting each subsequent group slightly so that the balloons are as beautiful as shown in the picture above. You won’t be able to move too much once you’ve placed a group of four balloons in another row. The friction between the balls will cause the ball to pop. A note about time. It took us 1.5 hours to blow up the balloons and create these four balloon columns. Inflated balloons (compared to helium) will last a few days, but they look best on the first day, so I wait until the morning of the party.

Like the balloon column, we made a balloon arch consisting of four groups of balloons for a Mickey Mouse party. Tie two balloons and combine two sets of balloons into four sets of balloons. These are the building blocks for your balloon. To make a real Mickey Mouse balloon arch, we started with four rows of red balloons at each end of the arch. For the third row, four groups of three red balls and one white ball. Then we filled the entire back with rows of black balloons.

We love to have fun with party bags for gift giving. We really outdid ourselves this year with these Mickey Mouse party favor bags. They turned out very cute. Since we have so many children of all ages, gift giving is for children, so we made a red “baby” pocket where we could put a Thank You card with the child’s name on it. The bag we made was 8″x10″. Strap is 16″ from end to end. Red pocket is 5″ tall. We used 1″ white buttons. We filled a Mickey Mouse party favor bag with some party favors, added a thank you note from Allison to the front pocket, and handed it out to Allison’s friends as they left the party.

Minnie Mouse Ears and Mickey Mouse Ears were the first projects we came across and ultimately inspired us to go with a Mickey and Minnie party theme. We loved the look of them and everyone at the party wanted and wore them. DIY Mickey and Minnie Mouse ears hang outside the door on Mickey Mouse’s birthday, and each party member (even mom and dad) gets a bunch when they arrive. We have ears! Be happy!

We used a Cricut Machine to make these Mickey Mouse themed cutouts in the party’s black, white, and red color scheme. Each Mickey Mouse Invitation contains “A”, “3”, Mickey Mouse Head, Minnie Mouse Head, Mickey Mouse Hands and Mickey Mouse Ball, three red squares and 3 white squares. We used a small paint brush to apply the invitation pieces to the black 5×7″ paper. On the back, we attached a piece of white paper with party information. We used the Minnie Mouse font found online. We are thrilled with the results of these Mickey Mouse Party Invitations!

We love the look of these Mickey and Minnie Centerpieces. When we started thinking about the party decorations, our original idea was to have cut flowers on the table, but as we talked, we decided it would be fun to paint terra cotta vases and put real plants in them. What we’ve found is that it’s a great table setting, but it doesn’t fall off the table or interrupt people if they want to talk. For the Mickey and Minnie centerpieces, we sprayed Terra Cotta pots with matte black spray paint. Then we painted the polka dots by hand with a dauber brush. We dip the top of the brush in paint, place it firmly in the pot, then move the brush in a circle, leaving polka dots. We painted the vase white and white so the centerpiece matched the Black and White Polka Dot Balloons used in the balloon column we made to decorate the porch. Now for the Mickey Mouse Ears, we spray paint the balsa with the same black matte spray paint used on the Terra Cotta pots. Once dry, we glued a simple Styrofoam ball to the stick for Mickey’s head, then added a small Styrofoam ball with toothpicks to represent the ears. Finally, we painted Mickey Mouse’s head black. It turned out to be more complicated than we imagined. Styrofoam balls really soak up paint and it’s hard to cover all the white faucets and faucets. Three or four coats are needed for complete coverage. Minnie & Mickey Die Cuts were created with the Cricut Cutting Machine and the Disney Mickey and Friends Cricut Cartridges.

Here are the mugs we used for Mickey Mouse’s birthday. Red and white plastic cups decorated with Mickey Mouse heads made of checkerboard vinyl paper. Guests can use chalk to write their name on Mickey’s head so they don’t lose track of the cup. This Mickey Mouse Party Mug was a hit among party goers. Another great party was thrown by my good friend Jennifer Hostetler. This time she had a Mickey Mouse themed party for her second daughter’s birthday. He did a great job!

Most of the decorations are on the dinner table and dessert table. After all, is that where visitors spend most of their time? The main color palette is red, yellow and black. Jen bought some cheap red and white polka dot fabric from a craft store. She pulled him back to the candy table. Jenn played accordion tunes and “Huge
