Oh The Places You Ll Go Table Decorations – Oh, when was the last time you saw the places you were going! From Dr. Seuss? It always brings a tear to my eye and motivates me for the next things I face in life. It makes the perfect grad gift, and ever since my mom gave me a copy of the book filled with signatures from my family, friends, and teachers when I graduated from high school, I’ve wanted to throw Oh the Places You Go to Graduation. I finally got the chance recently and learned that Oh the Places You’ll Go Party is such a fun, colorful and sentimental theme. Today’s post features your very own Dr. Seuss graduation party including iconic Oh the Places You’ll Go printable quotes, Oh the Places You’ll Go decorations and party food ideas, Oh the Places You’ll Go party favors and lots of free Oh the Places You’ll Go printables for your party. Oh The Places You Ll Go Table Decorations
The color scheme for this Oh, The Places You’ll Go party was inspired by the art on the book cover featuring pastel shades of yellow, blue, orange, green, purple and pink. I found that searching for pastel rainbow supplies helped me find the perfect Oh, the Places You Go party decorations. Unicorn party accessories also go well with this color scheme.
Oh The Places You’ll Go Baby Shower
Because the book has so many inspirational lines, most of our party decorations were designed around “Oh the places you’ll go” quotes (listed below). I framed the quotes in IKEA 8″x10″ FISKBO frames in light blue and light pink, which went well with the party color scheme.
Create Places You Go Quotes (see the Places You Go Printables section at the end of this post for links to free printable quotes to frame):
This is one of the best quotes from the book and perfect for an inspirational piece of party decor.

Others Oh the Places You’ll Go! Quotes (I didn’t end up printing and framing these, but they are other good contenders):
Inspired by what my mom made for my high school graduation, a hardcover copy of the party guest book Oh, the Places You’ll Go! Display it with some acid-free pens for party guests to send a special message for the book Dr. Seuss graduate.
The guest book table sign (see the free printable link in the printables section later in this post) was framed in a 4″x6″ IKEA TOLSBY frame (unfortunately these frames are not available from IKEA, but you can get larger sizes on Amazon here).

Oh the places you’ll go! Background is central to party decorations. Here is what we used to create the background display:
The table setting (which was inspired by the Oh, the Places You’ll Go baby shower) was also a mix of rainbow pastel pieces:
Rose flowers are a cheerful way to spice up party decorations. For this Oh, the Places You’ll Go graduation party I used rose flowers (selection of artificial flowers from IKEA) in vases.

Bleu De Toi: Oh, The Places You’ll Go!
I love using candy melts to easily incorporate a party color scheme into food (see my post Candy Melt Ideas: 4 Candy Melt Recipes for Parties for more ways to use candy melts). For this Oh, the Places You’ll Go party, I dipped some objects in white candy melts and drizzled pastel candy melts on top in other party colors (pale pink, orange, pale yellow, pale green, turquoise, and lavender). You see, I was a little embarrassed sometimes, but no one cared.
Swirl Cupcakes. Decorating cupcakes with swirl icing is easy with this Color Swirl 3 Color Piping Bag Connector Set from Wilton. I decorated half of the cupcakes with a pink, blue and yellow swirl and the other half with orange, green and purple. For the toppers, I used the method from my Easy DIY Cupcake Toppers and Printable Cupcake Topper Art (see Oh, the Places You’ll Go Printables section below for a free printable link).
Cotton candy pops. In keeping with the theme, I made pops on pastel colored striped paper straws instead of pop sticks. I think they are as pretty as truffula trees! I used this Wilton Cardboard Pops Display Stand to display them. The cardboard stand allowed me to make the holes slightly larger to match the size of the straws.
Easy Ways To Throw An Amazing Graduation Party
Lil Smokies wrapped in bacon. With all the sweet stuff, we need something tasty that’s also easy to grab and eat. These work flawlessly and are easy to make.
As part of the whole food display, I used this white cake stand set and another white stand that I already had.
Food signs are one of the party prints I made for the event. Find the free printable food signs link in the Oh the Places You Go section at the bottom of this post.
Oh, The Places You’ll Go! A 1st Birthday Celebration
Oh, and go-to party favors are a cute way to say goodbye to your graduation guests at the end of the event. We have favors at the guest book table. Here’s what we used.
Swirl lollipops with printable sticker labels. Find the link to the free printable in the Oh the Places You Go section below.
Mini candy bars. We wrapped the Hershey’s Miniatures candies with Oh, the Places You’ll Go printable candy wrappers (see the Oh, Places You’ll Go Printables section below for a link to the free printables).
“Go on your way!” Earth candies in a bag. We found this idea on Pinterest and love it! The party theme, “Oh the Places You’ll Go,” is reminiscent of travel, so we shared foil-wrapped Earth Chocolate Candies in a plastic bag with a printable gift tag from A Little Clarification. Find a link to the free printable tag we used in the Oh the Places – Printables section below.

Birthdayexpress Dr. Seuss Oh The Places Youll Go Inspirational Quote Giant Wall Decal
Today we’re sharing all the bright and dreamy details and your own simple Dr. Thanks for the Seuss party favors!
I originally made these clouds and sun for an adorable teddy bear picnic party (click here to see the details) but when we added the custom hot air balloons (instructions here) they matched these party decorations perfectly!
For an inexpensive and easy approach to this decor, we covered the tops of the tables in Tiffany blue wrapping paper for “heaven” and used a $5 bag of cotton wool to wrap around hot air balloons and food containers. Give the appearance that everything is in the clouds.
Birthday Party Supplies And Decorations
And as promised, your free dr. Thank you Seuss Printables for the party favors! Scroll down for instructions on how we made them:
The Lollipop Favor Kit comes with small stickers that you can design and print on your Word template, but in my experience, feeding such small pieces of paper through my printer and aligning them correctly is time-consuming and nearly impossible. Instead, print your free printables on a full sheet of matte white sticker paper, use a paper punch to line them up, and cut them out.
