I pride myself on shipping items with great care, but sometimes things break. I am happy to give a full refund as long as I receive a photo of the damaged item via messaging. This allows me to file a claim through the USPS because all purchases through my store are insured.
Unfortunately, I cannot accept returns due to buyer’s remorse. Most items in this store are heavy and expensive to ship. I take the best pictures possible from every angle of every item in natural light so you as the buyer can see exactly what you are getting. However, if an item arrives damaged or there is an error on my part, I will do my best to make it right, including a full refund if necessary.
My grandma had this salt/pepper shaker and it was my favorite growing up! After she passed away (2007) I took them home with me and proudly used them all the time until one day I couldn’t open the quilt. Stunned, I put it in the closet. I wanted a new set and couldn’t find them anywhere until the other day when I came across them here! You have no idea how happy I am to have them!!! Thank you very much!!!

A Partridge In A Pear Tree Ii Art Print By Angela Rizza
Making felt ornaments doesn’t require a lot of sewing skills and I find it makes for a very relaxing holiday craft.
Once you’re done, you’ll have a cute, fluffy partridge in a pear tree ornament to hang on your tree year after year.
Bonus: the little partridge can be removed from the tree, so kids will love playing with these cute little ornaments!
Best Christmas Decorations To Sew In 2021
A little confession: the song “12 Days of Christmas” kind of reminds me of “100 Bottles of Beer on the Wall”. Just monotony, maybe?
However, Christmas just isn’t the same without hearing this song a few times, right? As for 100 bottles of beer… which can actually be used during the holidays too 😉.
As far as DIY ornaments go, if you’re looking for something else to try after you’re done with the partridge in the pear tree, definitely check this out!

So check out all the felt decorating options (especially if you’ve caught the felt decorating bug)! But today is about our partridge in a pear.
I used a free pattern for our partridge that I found on Pinterest. Okay, not chicken. It’s a bird, but let’s pretend it’s a partridge.

I used a pretty patterned fabric for the wings and belly and the little pears on the tree. BUT the fabric I chose is SUPER fraying, which is not the best for this project.
I show the wear check in consumables in case you find yourself in a similar situation. Just use a fray check on the edges of your fabric and it will help ensure the integrity of your fabric as you work on the project.
Place your partridge on the paper and use it as a base for the scale of your tree. If I had to do this project again,

For the second copy of your tree pattern, you only need to cut out the canopy. You will then cut out the canopy to make a pattern for the pocket that the little partridge will sit in.
I would recommend cutting the crown lengthwise across the width of the tree at about 2/3 of the height. This will give the bird a nice, deep pocket to sit in.
As you can see in the image below, I first sewed and stuffed my tree trunk, which is also fine. Remember to sew your pocket to the crown of the tree before you sew and tuck the canopy pieces together.

With the pocket attached to the front of the canopy, it was time to sew our tree trunk and insert it.
Sew about 2/3 of the stem, then stuff. Cover the last 1/3 of the rod, then sew a piece of felt that will be the BACK of the canopy (as in the picture above).
Either sew or glue a piece of ribbon about 10 inches to the inside of the back of the canopy (the same side the stem is attached to).

This ribbon will be a hanger for your Christmas tree decorations. By attaching the ribbon on the inside, it won’t be visible when you sew the canopy together.
Sew together the front and back 2/3 of the canopy (make sure the stem attachment is in the middle of the tree so the seam won’t show, and make sure your pocket will be exposed in front of the tree) .
If you overfill the canopy, it will be difficult for the partridge to sit in the pocket without falling.

I drew a pear shape on a piece of paper, then cut it out and used it as a template for the little pears. Again, be careful to use a good fabric that doesn’t fray easily for your pears. I draw like crazy.
Collision checks help, but they are
