Saint Patrick’s Day Table Decorations

Saint Patrick’s Day Table Decorations – My mind blossomed a little. We’re on our fourth spring here at KN (reasonably so) and when I started digging through the archives for St. Patrick’s Day party ideas, I felt like I was there.

Any *insert wide-eyed, surprised emoji* I think this is the only holiday where we’ve shown zero love. And this year, we’re going to fix that. I’ve already planned the Irish holidays and ideas for next week and today we’re getting started on the St. Patrick’s table decorations and place settings.

As with most of my tables and parties, when I hit the halls at home, I wasn’t literally looking for leprechauns and St. Patty’s decorations. I get a mental list of certain words/feelings that match my thoughts about the holidays, like…

If you keep an open mind before putting together your holiday decor, you’ll have more room for creativity. Look for a statement piece or two and build on it. Or maybe you have an inspirational centerpiece you’d like to make at home—a favorite vase or string of garland, or a new set of patterned salad plates. some of me

The first thing that caught my eye in the shop were these green containers; They also had matching glasses, but I ended up choosing the smaller ones and they went in my cart.

Although they usually don’t make sense to pair, the next thing I picked up and didn’t want to leave out were these gold geometric print sunglasses. So, once I had my direction, my job was to understand them together and create a concept around them. Classic green glasses and modern gold bowls. I didn’t know I was headed in an amazing direction until I saw this black and white geometric print table runner. But, I loved how it looked with the gold geometric mirrors and thought it was just another integral piece that I needed to bring into the fold and define it somehow.

I looked at these unique, dark matte organic shaped plates separated by simple gold chargers and felt my vision begin to coalesce. Admittedly, I didn’t start my trip planning on using paper party supplies, but I had a field day when I turned the corner and saw an aisle full of specialty tableware in select sizes that you only see at online boutiques. decided to make a combination. The gold and white striped napkins work perfectly with the other geometric business going on at the table, and I want black matte dinnerware, which I haven’t done yet. I think the cheap modern shaped plastic luggage in all the colors was one of my favorite parts of my entire trip. (I hope to see more of this in future posts 😉).

They also had gold yarn runners that could be cut, which I decided should be part of the overlay. One packet was the perfect amount to cut in half for this table.

For the center I envisioned something green and leafy with spring tulips. I found these green bottles in different shapes and different heights and knew I wanted to scatter simple stems under the table. I went to the greenery section to find wreaths (they have a ton to choose from) and when I put the fern strands in my cart, I found these little clover patches. I think they are actually fake boxes, but they didn’t look like little shamrocks to me.

My original plan was to use chocolate gold coins all over the place in black and white geometric bowls and make mini pots out of gold, but I lined up and used white marble with gold rims.

Starting from a completely blank page, I built from scratch. When you look at each component, they don’t necessarily make sense on their own, but when each piece of the table is placed next to each other, the table decor looks completely intentional with the shamrock/green clover/gold cents collected for Patrick. Set the evening of the day.

If you’re planning a St. Patrick’s Day lunch, you can make salad greens the hero (make sure you have a protein like chicken and sides on hand), and even if you’re planning dinner, you can make salad greens. – Special for adding corned beef/cabbage/stew/potatoes to traditional Irish dinners. This is probably the only time I’ve worked on a monochromatic salad, I usually try to add as much color as possible ;). I used baby arugula, cucumbers, bell peppers, broccoli, sugar snap peas and onions. As a bonus green component, you can serve Hari Devi as a dressing. If you’re not a fan of Hari Devi, put ranch dressing in a bowl/sauce boat. Use a toothpick to stick the green food coloring inside the bottle (to control the amount) and stir in the ranch dressing. You can put a drop in a small bowl to transfer a piece, if that’s easier. Be careful – just like coloring cake cream, a little goes a long way, and if you’re not careful, it can end up much darker than you think 😉

Gold or mini yellow pom poms? Either way, make this DIY hanging mobile and lots of luck and wealth will surely come your way!

To make: Cut 1-inch wide strips of paper from colored craft paper. Use a hole punch to make a hole in the center of each paper strip; Collect the papers in rainbow order. To hold the paper in place, thread a piece of cotton through the holes and weave it under and under the paper. Fold a piece of black craft paper in half and cut out a pot shape so you have two identical pieces. Cut two dome-shaped pieces of yellow craft paper and sandwich them between the black pieces, gluing everything together. Glue small yellow pom-poms to the yellow paper. Punch a hole in the upper part of the yellow dome, tie it with a knot and thread it through. Cut small clovers from green craft paper and glue to the front and back of the pot; If necessary, draw an outline with a white pen.
