I’m not interested in going to New Orleans, Mobile, Alabama, or any other hot spot to celebrate Mardi Gras, but that doesn’t mean I have to celebrate the occasion without some kind of celebration. It’s time to put out the decorations, set up a fun table, make a king cake, and invite another couple over for dinner.
My table started with a fun Mardi Gras fabric wrap, then I double layered the charger. Mardi Gras is a fun time to get together with friends and celebrate before Christmas.
The purple wine keeps the royalty together with my funky centerpiece. As I set the table, a friend helped me fill a large glass ginger jar with small green, purple, gold ornaments and cheap beads. Mardi Gras decorations sold at Pier One after last year’s holiday are on top of the jar, along with a pair of funky masks and the usual gold crown.

Each chair is topped with a diamond pattern fabric that I made with this matching fabric and a little masking tape. Those masks are cute favors for any guest as the keeper of our fun party.
My plates are a square gold base with a round purple plate on top and then a beautiful gold plate I bought a while back at Z Gallerie.
